What We Do
Holt Analytical offers a variety of commercial and residential Mold Inspection services throughout all counties of Southern California. We are an honest, responsible agency with a focus on thorough results and exceptional customer service.
Pre and Post Remediation Testing
An initial mold inspection is completed to evaluate the extent of necessary remediation. After the remediation work is done, a clearance test is performed. The purpose is to ensure that the remediation was successful.
Post remediation testing consists of a visual inspection of the materials that were involved in the remediation process, moisture readings of the materials that were involved in the remediation process, and an appropriate air sampling to assess spore concentrations for acceptable standards.
Infrared thermography is a type of infrared imaging science in which cameras can detect heat radiation and produce images. Since infrared radiation is emitted by all objects based on their temperatures, thermography makes it possible to detect the presence of moisture without visible illumination,
This imaging is one of the latest technological advances in the construction industry. It gives our mold inspectors the ability to understand what is going on inside walls without causing damage. With the advancement of thermal imagining, our Holt Analytical can diagnose moisture and insulation related issues that may not even become visible for years to come.
A mold inspection is a visual inspection of a property (inside and out) for mold and conditions that cause mold. A mold inspection includes moisture readings of construction materials, including exterior walls, interior walls, floors, cabinets, shower enclosures and concrete slabs.
Holt Analytical uses state-of-the-art, industry-specific electronic equipment to detect excessive moisture in construction materials, which is the primary cause of indoor mold problems.
Mold testing is the actual collecting of samples for laboratory analysis, to identify what types of molds are present on surfaces and in the air. Identification and quantification is useful data in determining proper remediation procedures as well as the seriousness of potential health risks.
A surface sample is taken directly from approximately one square inch of a surface. An air sample is a representation of mold spores in the air based on the actual number of spores captured in a canister known as a spore trap. Obtaining ERMI (EPA Relative Moldiness Index) samples involves the analysis of a single sample of dust.
Mold is not the only biological contaminant that causes adverse health reactions. Other indoor air contaminants include dust mites, pet dander, droppings and body parts from cockroaches, rodents and other pests or insects, viruses, and bacteria. Many of these biological contaminants are small enough to be inhaled and all of them can cause illness.
Holt Analytical conducts allergen screenings by collecting samples of particles in a structure, performing a lab analysis, and providing a full interpretation of analytical results indicating the presence of contaminants that are above acceptable threshold limit values.
